Willow log basket workshop

Service Description
There’s an old kind of satisfaction in making something useful with your own hands — especially something built to last for years beside the fire, in the shed, or out gathering wood on a cold evening. Our Willow Log Basket Workshop is a relaxed 5.5-hour day of traditional basket weaving, where you’ll learn how to create your own sturdy willow log basket from start to finish using natural willow and traditional techniques. Log baskets are wonderfully practical things — strong, rustic, and full of character. No two ever come out exactly the same, which is part of what makes them so special. As the weave builds and the basket slowly takes shape in your hands, you’ll leave with something entirely handmade, useful, and uniquely yours. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as anyone who has worked with willow before. We guide you through each stage step by step in a welcoming, informal atmosphere with plenty of support throughout the day. All materials and tools are provided, along with tea, coffee, and biscuits to keep everyone fuelled while the weaving gets underway. Just bring a packed lunch and settle in for a creative day with good company. Expect a day of natural materials, busy hands, good conversation, and the simple pleasure of slowing down long enough to make something real. Spaces are intentionally kept small so everyone gets plenty of guidance and time around the workshop table.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy A deposit of €20 is required to secure your place at the workshop. This deposit is treated as an advance payment towards the total workshop fee and is generally non‑refundable if you cancel or do not attend, to reflect our preparation costs and materials already committed for your session. Rescheduling More than 14 days before the workshop date: You may request to reschedule to another available date, subject to availability. If approved, your €20 deposit will be transferred to the new date. 14 days or fewer before the workshop date: If you request to reschedule, we may be unable to offer an alternative date. In this case, your €20 deposit may be retained to cover non‑refundable preparation costs. Cancellations More than 14 days before the workshop date: You may cancel your booking. In most cases, your €20 deposit can be transferred to a new date at our discretion, rather than being refunded. 14 days or fewer before the workshop date: If you cancel, we may be entitled to retain the €20 deposit to cover costs already incurred, including soaked and prepared willow and instructor time committed to your workshop. No‑shows If you do not attend your workshop and have not given prior notice, we may treat this as a late cancellation and retain the €20 deposit under the same conditions. Preparation costs Because willow preparation begins 7 days before each workshop, last‑minute cancellations or no‑shows may prevent us from recovering preparation costs. The €20 deposit helps to cover these reasonable, non‑refundable costs. Your rights Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under Irish or EU consumer‑protection law, including any right to cancel where such a right applies.
